Often perceived abroad as a quasi-geometrical parallelogram, Switzerland is very properly ordered, aligned, organized, right-angled and punctual, to the extent that the word “Swissness” has been coined. This attribute, seen as a quality by the outside world, can be seen as a burden from inside. The grids and lines seen in the photograph create a physical field where they can interact. By disturbing the pattern, oscillations emerge, making it possible to peer deeper. The photographs capture these moments of slight disturbance, of fragile imbalance, where order is caught in a moment of chaos.
